ROSE WINE - BORDEAUX CLAIRET - VIGNOBLES CHAIGNE ET FILS
Grapes : Cabernet Sauvignon 70% and Merlot 30% (CLARET)
The word "claret", used today as a generic term for all wines from the Bordeaux Region originated from the term Clairet. In the middle ages this was the style of light red wine exported to England but today it is considered something of a delicacy. There is more skin contact than a traditional rosé, hence the deep colour and this lovely example is dry and brimming with ripe, juicy fruit flavours.
