Mercuès is a magnificent Château perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the river Lot just outside Cahors. This is a dense, chewy but beautifully ripe red which will go perfectly with a confit de canard and the local rich cuisine. Think again if you thought good Malbec was confined to Argentina! |
