2007 Clos de la Coulée de Serrant Savennières,
Talk about nectar of the gods. Think Ava Gardner in "The Barefoot Contessa." A deep golden color, much darker than the 2008, with an unmistakable honeyed quality due to Botrytis (noble rot), candied orange, a touch of ginger and a very rich, almost syrupy texture, yet it's ultimately a dry wine with a stony core and a long, reverberating finish..

The domains works with the Biodynamic practices for 26 years now. It represents 15 hectares in front of the Loire river. Three appellations are produced by this domain : Coulée de Serrant, Roche aux Moines, Savennières.

This Savennière vines are 20 years old and planted on schist soils. The fermentation is done in a oak barrel which has already served several times. The harvest are hand made with a selection of the grapes.

This wine presents a mineral taste and an intense colour thanks to its maturity.

Serving suggestion:
It is ideal when served with a fish in a butter sauce.
