Beautiful brilliant purple colour, a little darker than in some previous vintages. Very intense nose, with lots of fruit, more « black » fruit than « bright red » - red fruit and black cherry, among others, with a touch of fine oak and a dash of spice accompanying the characteristic aromas of perfectly ripe Grenache.
The palate echoes the nose, very full, with a rich sappy attack, a dash of peppery spice and liquorice; tannins are still somewhat in evidence but time and the influence of the wood will slowly but surely soften them out.
